Just curious, but where would the money to pay these athletes come from? The athletic departments basically pay for all the non-rev sports with the money that football and basketball make, and the schools continually raise tuition to cover all of their other costs. Are you going to ask the other students to help pay

well, it looks like the headline worked. A false sense of shame has now swept over, and the divide has begun.

I'm actually interested in SOME college athletes getting paid, but not all, and I'm white. There may be right now, in total, 75 athletes nationally in all sports you could make an argument should get some money. Problem is, the Deadspins of the world make it an all or nothing issue, while also ignoring non-revenue

ding ding ding. I find it funny that Deadspin kills ESPN for posting controversial headlines just for page views yet they milk this athletes should get paid and if you don't agree you're a racist.

At what point did a free education become so worthless?

In other news, study finds white people believe a free college education to be more valuable than other races.

1000 respondents, all by phone? Useless, next. Good race-baiting headline though, it got me to actually look into this.

A backwards "K" denotes a strikeout looking.

Backward K means struck out looking. As far as I know, people don't do anything special to avoid spelling out "KKK" for those signs, but if one of the first three is looking then problem solved!

OK, stupid but genuine question: Is that why the third "K" is always backward in a scoreline or when people put up signs at the ballpark? I have always wondered about this.

I'm confused, aren't you supposed to have cause to sue someone? What is she suing them for?

Ummmm....some lawyer is going to get paid $500 an hour to write the easiest motion to dismiss ever drafted, and none of these parties are going to bat an eye, much less get together in the same room.

That's quite presumptuous of you. Maybe I should have given better context. I work in a smaller police department, there are 75 officers total. I know every single one of them. They have their faults, and I never said they didn't act like bullies at times. I said that I could never imagine them acting in this way

A little perspective here:
Given the standard ratio of one page of script to one minute of screen time - that's a 33 hour movie/miniseries.

They must be fun to meet—I'll bet they think all sorts of interesting things. I'm glad you explained; I honestly couldn't figure out what you were referring to.

To be fair, for every incident like this there are hundreds (thousands?) of cases of police officers actually protecting and serving.

I might get flamed for this, but here goes...

I am SO glad my mutant super power is not having any wisdom teeth.
