This interests me. I was looking forward to WKC but apparently at least from some reviews isn't that great. So maybe ill pick this up along with FFXIII as my jrpg fix this year.

@rich641028: Making a whole big deal over eye color. While i'll agree I prefer the old sprites better that's hardly enough to set me off. I think most people care about the gameplay, and it's far to early to cast judgment on that.

@thejakeman: By last chance I mean legitimacy in the eyes of the older fanbase. If you call it Sonic 4 and it sucks then I believe they are going to alienate that said fanbase.

@masterage: I agree. I'm trying really hard to tell my self to not get picky and that I should be happy about the game. It looks so much like the ugly Sonic Rush animations. I'm really hoping "from the ground up" doesn't mean Sonic Rush port.

By calling it Sonic 4 fans have a certain expectation now. This is it, this is their last chance to save the legitimacy of the franchise. As a kid who grew up on the Genesis and Sonic the Hedgehog I'm really hoping they don't mess it up.

edit: ugh mistake meant to make my own comment not reply to this. But while i'm here this will literally kill the franchise if this game fails. The sonic team will be doomed to making games suited for children who don't know any better forever as the older generation will be completely disheartened.

So I'm planning to buy this game soon and I gotta know, what are the differences between the factions? For my personal interest, which is one is the most gritty and bad ass? Because that's probably the one I would look to join.

@DaiMacculate - impotentnerdrage.com: I have to say I have zero interest in this. However I have to admit, being able to play a RTS on a giant touch screen like this would be the coolest thing ever.

@pekosROB: My personal opinion on GOTY award distinctions is that there should be a GOTY for each console that only includes games exclusive to that console. Then the top GOTY is a free for all between exclusive and multi platform games.

I completely agree with Kotaku's desicion with Demon's Souls here but for completely different reasoning (Fahey didn't seem to really give much of one at least in this article aside from it's too tense)
