Oh great. More copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy out there to make mine worth so much less.

Are they trying to sell me chocolate or something?
Is that Jeremy Parish in the second picture?
Can I just throw out there how great of a deal that Blade Runner BluRay is? I bought it a few months ago when I first got my PS3, just because it was the one BluRay I absolutely needed to have. That particular version is basically "Blade Runner" the complete set. It's got all five versions of the film, the documentary…
Yep. Different control types always make a big difference in competitive circles. See the case of Microsoft & Xbox/PC Cross Platform Play.
From what I understand, the UbiArt framework that Rayman is built on allows them to put things together very, very quickly in comparison to other types of development. So 7 months to add 30 levels is probably completely feasible!
Good Lord, that hat.
If someone "uses" a Hitchcock Zoom, no one says they stole it from Hitchcock. They say they used it. That's just using a technique. If you use a match cut, no one is going to call you out for stealing it from Kubrick in 2001, even if he did it better. It's a tool in a filmmaker's arsenal, of which there are thousands.
If what's in the article about the reorganization to work on id Tech 5 is true, then they'd be positioning themselves as a direct competitor to Unreal Engine 4 in the coming console generation. If that's the case, this could get interesting!
I interviewed this guy at Comic Con last year for AICN - he came off as a big fan who was suddenly thrust into making Hollywood after doing shorts his whole life. He's super passionate, and he knows how to make a cool flick. I'm sure Half Life is something he could pull off.
I believe he means Gabe from Penny Arcade, because Tycho was in the first game.
What's that little status box in the upper right? Every once in awhile it would pop up with a notification that the player was close to beating someone else's score or something to that effect, but I'm not sure I understand the function.
It's worth noting that the ESRB rating and descriptors are the same as those included on Enemy Unknown.
If it's running in a NES emulator in RCR, that means somewhere in the code could be a .nes file that can be stuffed into a Power Pak or something to that effect. (You can see that he's using a modified Double Dribble cart, or at least some kind of dev tool in a Double Dribble case, to load code in.)
Thanks for the heads up on this! I was able to grab one for myself. I can only hope that the bottom doesn't drop out on this market before mine comes in the mail...
Cargill is a phenomenal writer, and Derrickson is a damn good director. Hearing the two of them talk about movies and storytelling is mesmerising, and it's clear that they not only understand how good stories are put together, but how the two of them need to work together to make those stories really click for a…
A few years ago I got a little into IF when I learned about Inform 7, the tool that people use to make IF. When you learn how it works, (and it's very simple,) it becomes incredibly fun to throw together a short, funny story, put it up on your website using an online interpreter like Parchment, and send it to your…
Nope. Wordpress takes over everything completely.
I bought a 3DS the day before the price drop. It's not really anyone's fault, but sometimes you just get kinda unlucky with these things.
I'd honestly be very surprised if we didn't get it. Consider how much of the DS's library was made up of awesome RPGs, and how Nintendo has been somewhat unwilling to wait for Square to bring their own stuff over. (For the US & some other territories, they published Dragon Quest VI & IX on the DS themselves, along…
