I live in a country against which they directed their propaganda. so no, if you yourself are Russian you can mourn them to your heart’s content — but to demand sympathy from Ukrainians would be emotional violence par excellence.

to feel bad for the killers and for their victims must be some really neat moral trick.

do you feel bad for Ukrainians killed by Russians for the last three years? or maybe Syrians? no? these very musicians sang songs glorifying the invading forces.

they were no innocents. they sang songs about the polite people — and there were several military journalists that pumped the Russian citizenry into invading Ukraine and bombing Syria. they all were soldiers of the propaganda front. and thus were no innocent.
