Nuclear power is perfectly safe and non-polluting, provided the containment and backup safety systems continue operating normally, and they've never failed ever, have they? Or is it OK that they just don't release carbon?

Some people say "yes" to drugs AND pizza.
Look up your local gaming store. Most of them have gaming nights where they would be glad to teach people and have some fun. Likewise, Wizards of the Coast has encounters nights where you play through a campaign once a week over a few months. It's a great system, and I greatly recommend it.
All of the references to how 5th is doing it "just like video games" has me REALLY leery. Everything wrong with 4th edition was extremely video game-y, and made the experience much less fun. 4th played very much like an MMO, which was its greatest downfall. Attacks worked like boring macros; classes all felt…
Cool build. I am assuming all that solder and lead is inert at this point-especailly if you are wearing it?
"Aren't you a little low-watt for a stormtrooper?"
Is this taking into account reading level of the book? I've read both LotR and all of Twilight (laugh away), and there is no way it took me longer to read Twilight. I motored through those. Twilight has got to be at the 6th grade reading level or something, whereas Tolkien requires some actual concentration.
Yep...all two of them. Or are we counting Two-Face twice? Four, if we include the real villain: Joel Schumacher.
I know, right? Furry little balls of death!
I would read the fuck out of a book about werecorgis.
After the Great Wallstreet crash of 14356 SFCL all dragons knew that saving for a rainy day made sense.
Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the minds of those fish as they fell was "Oh no, not again". Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the fish had thought that we would know a lot more about the nature of the universe than we do now.
Can you just imagine being a fish and hanging out in the plane and the OHMYGODWHATISHAPPENINGTOMEHOLYSHITIAMGOINGTODIE oh cool more water.
All supposition. All I was saying was that it would be interesting to see an update. Didn't say that it was needed. And we did say that it is possible to have a remake that surpasses the original. No rule against that. Case in point: Ben Hur, 1959. Arguably The Thing 1982 version...
``Probably because of the downbeat story, the complex politics (more than "government bad"), and the lots and lots of sex''
Excellent idea. I've always thought Macbeth would be a great candidate for an sf adaptation!
No. But then there's not much to forget. I love you YA novels, occasionally, but there are other stories to tell than those of misunderstood teenagers.
We don't know that. Okay most remakes are disappointing, but that doesn't mean that it is a guaranteed disappointment. Certainly the special effects could use an update, and even some of the dialog and 1950s social conventions. Don't get me wrong, I loved the original for what it was- a masterpiece. But a fresh look…
