Heroic 22-Year-Old Video Gamer Rescues Octogenarian from Mobile Home Fire [LAist, h/t Michael G]

Weird, i never got the notification for your message. I was the Nintendo guy growing up. Like i wouldnt say Nintendo isnt in bad shape, but they'd been in worse (virtual boy). They can turn things around like they did the 3DS. Nintendo usually never fails to disappoint on definitive gaming experience each gen.

Any PC gamer who isn't impressed by this is an idiot. I've watched nearly every tech demo for every graphically significant PC game in the past couple of years, and no game has matched the brilliant combination of dynamic lighting, smoke, microdestruction, and general attention to detail. The closest I've seen is

The snowy empty city really made me want Parasite Eve 3.

I love the last of us, In my personal opinion it should be game of the year because it managed to not be a another game about zombie but actually about people trying to survive in that world.

Yeah, it's not like two brand new consoles launched this year with full launch lineups, and we saw amazing triple A games like The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, and Super Mario 3D World come out.

I personally do not agree with this. While GTA was an amazing game I don't thikn it was GOTY worthy. It was a game people picked up played then put down. I felt The Last of Us was a more appropriate choice. People are still talking about that game!

So secretive that instead of releasing new ones they lock them up and keep remaking and releasing the same old game.

Backwards compatibility adds short term value only to early adopters. After about a year in, it stops being an issue once newer games start flooding in. Manufacturers have no real incentive to add in backwards compatibility when it really doesn't make them anymore money in the long run.
