I think for console games the four big things are
1. Price/power
2. How many people do I know with this console, how many of my friends have it?
3. Is it convenient?

Power DOES matter, there is an acceptable minimum that developers are willing to work with and then theres anything below that which won't make the cut and that's where the wii u falls. The ONLY thing that makes developers make exceptions are NUMBERS. By which I mean install base.

Most console gamers don't give a rats ass about pc's as a gaming option. Self included, do we care about graphics? Yes, but only to the point of not being inconvenienced. So caring about graphics but not caring about pc IS a valid standpoint.

i don't know if you have plus, but over the last few months we've gotten DMC, bioshock infinite, borderlands 2, and yesterday i got tombraider, minding i have only beaten DMC. thats still plenty on just ps3 alone(i also bought gow ascension for $10 when it was on sale, haven't touched it lol)

I agree with everything you've said. My post was fueled mostly by getting done a 10hr shift and seeing anti console statements on an empty stomach. I hate the feeling of being looked down upon and I feel pc gamers do that often. Though I read his other posts and see that it was mostly in jest.

Sony is a much smaller beast nowadays and frankly im not sure if they have the ABILITY to support both. Like they could've made an infamous/gow game for vita to follow up with their uncharted and killzone but didn't, that would've built SOME momentum.

As far as i know, Microsoft only bought the rights for the first game (think mass effect) .so its likely that the inevitable sequels will be multiplatform. In fact its funny, one of the head developers at respawn didn't even know it was xbox exclusive since they jumped out and bought it so quickly.

They believe it will be their turning point. And it just may, let's not underestimate the power of the DUDE-BRO. That plus every publication is falling over backwards to suck this games dick.

Microsoft is likely looking for a cheap thrill. Something to sell the system and titan fall MAY be that. To the DUDE-BRO constituency, multiplayer is all that matters anyway. I don't like it, but I see WHY their doing it. That said though, I do not own nor intend to own an XB1.so its kinda a moot point for me.

I see what your saying and I agree but I think your overlook the word of mouth proliferation. Back in the day, part of the reason the xbox 360 spread so quickly was because everyone knew someone that had one. Sony may enjoy that same effect this go around.

Thats cool, I like that you have a belief in mind and are sticking by it. Convenience often makes that difficult for a lot of people.
