au contraire! the thing is that killing is the easy path, so early in the movie we get the team cut in half. X-couple? X-trio? I wanted the whole enchilada! I wanted the movie to end with the Watcher commenting the aftermath of the battle between the X-men and the Imperial Guard. The works.

They killed Charles in X3, you can't take that back. This holds no interest to me.
