So now that Toyota is wearing the unintended acceleration crown will they shrink into a quirky brand that works it's ass off to become cool, ala Audi?

Doesn't anyone else see the Evil Plot Toyota is using here?

@Tanshanomi: Took the words right out of my mouth.

They need to talk talk to the guy selling his viper below stat.

Your right Ray, this last year my beloved Jalopnik has turned it's bad cotomer sevis into real customer service that seems a few months away from being outsourced. I want my random points of awesomeness back, and I want it back with a vengeance. I want the sound of forced induction through open headers, huge engines

@oddfish: That comment makes me ponder. In this new decade of ours, is calling a boring vehicle an appliance more insulting to the appliances, or has that shark of automotive design not been jumped yet?

Amen brother!!!

Mine leave some awesomeness to be desired, but the moment of snowbound heroism I witnessed was, to coin a term (or plagiarizer a term as it were) epic.

This makes me happy. Planning on buying a new (to me) mustang next year and I really love the 2010 body style but didn't think I would be able to afford one. Now with the 5.0 coming in the '11 it should effectively tie an anvil to the already noticeable depreciation values of the 4.6 cars. Looks like I might be able

@beercheck: I LOL'd and then everyone else in the office LOL'd. I like working with other car guys/ family guy fans.

@GreenN_Gold: I'm here to point out the nuggets of... um... comedy.

I find the D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F. e-mail address the proverbial icing on the cake, or in this case, the stank on the poo.

I heart you parking lot.

I was a victim of dummy speed once. Bought a FWD Turbo Laser that had "a bad bearing" and needed a basic rebuild. When I pulled the motor and dropped the bottom end out of it the ring lands gently clattered to the ground like so many pieces of ice flaking off a Bronco's plastic roof on the highway. The car was stock

@Pessimippopotamus: In that case I will have to edit my previous comment. "I think that's because viewed from an upside up angle like this the gas pedal looks, um.. proudly masculine."

@Pessimippopotamus: I think that's because viewed from an upside down angle like this the brake pedal looks, um.. proudly masculine.

@mytdawg: While my automotive obsession does not run quite that deep (those scenarios seem about a banjo away from a toothless hillbilly fantasy), I am curious about the how I am not supposed to ask about. That being the case, I will simply demand you tell me.

Hey, why give the guy such a hard time? It's great for taking the kids trick or treating, and dad still gets to play dress up. #ateam

Apparently, the mid-life crisis ended within the 60 day period. Or at least abated enough where the new owner decided he should get the auto so he could claim some modicum of "practicality." #gm

While there are a number of cars that I would love to stick in the garage next to the beater Miata, it will score at least 200 on the How Jalopnik Is Your Car Scale.
