I dunno. The back of a Bentley Brooklands Coupe was absolutely gigantic and those Benz CL coupes aren’t bad. High end coupes have seats that motor forward when released to allow entry. I’m sure LR would have offered the same.

The non-functional giant wing nicely complements the mass of non-functional vents! Bravo!
Yup. Singer has officially jumped the shark with this one.
Exactly. In both cases (HD and Ducati), it’s more a case of brand identity over updated technology.
Exactly. I can take the politicians here, but the dumb-assed locals that show up at planning meetings and protest everything drive me up a wall. Why the various boards and commissions give them a moment’s notice blows my mind. And it’s always just one or two people. The same people at every hearing.
Dude, the reason it’s 10 years behind schedule is because of the friggin Montecito locals. Memories of that stupid-assed stoplight at 101 and State Street that blocked traffic for miles in each direction. It took 30 years for everybody to agree and once the underpass was complete the locals were asking “Why didn’t we…
Absolutely sublime.
Does not attain E31 levels of design sophistication. Looks generic. Meh.
You’re wrong. Jag and particularly A-M were on the verge of insolvency. Ford provided both firms with new engines, platforms, and modern factories. Tickford Street was a glorified shed. Browns Lane wasn’t much better.
I dunno. After a 17 year affair with an 850Ci, I’m still really digging my CL63. Both coupes. And I’d die for a 60s Riv or Toronado.
Near me, $45 a night peak, $35 a night off peak. Refugio and El Capitan state beach campgrounds. You have to reserve 6 months in advance on ReserveCalifornia, and campsites go in literally seconds after they open.
Survey: “What image flashes into your head when I say ‘Magnum, p.i.’”?
If I had to choose the existing Street over a V-Rod, I’d go V-Rod. It is my first bike. The reason I wanted to ride a bike began and ended with the V-Rod. I liked the design and look, the power was “sufficient”, and the build quality is amazing. The frame is hydroformed and all the shiny bits aren’t chrome, they’re…
What I thought was “nuts” is they’d send up a fuel sample first for the crewman to inspect. What was he going to do? Shop around? “Nah, this sucks. We’ll try the next boat.”
The V-Rod’s Revolution engine has an integrated 5 speed gearbox. The crank is connected to the clutch and balance shaft via a geartrain. There’s no primary or separate gearbox as on the aircooled v-twins.
Here’s a fix. Install a combined smoke and CO detector in your garage. Where I come from that’s usually where the water heater is located, plus there’s a ton of combustibles in my garage. Detecting a long-running car is just a no-cost plus.
Once Kid 1 arrived, wife stated “No more single engine. Or get a multimillion dollar life insurance policy.” When I told her multi-engine recip wasn’t safer, her answer was “Fine, make it a turboprop.” Stopped flying for a good long while.
“CC Manhattan, up with a twist in a rocks glass.” And yes, stirred, not shaken. My grandfather’s drink, my drink, and now my daughter’s drink.
I daresay Sioux City was a case of a real bad-ass pilot, or pilots. Southwest was, as far as I can tell, a checklisted emergency. There wasn’t a checklist for United 232. Their improvisational skills were extraordinary if you read the NTSB report.
Sorry, but United 232, Sioux City makes this and Sully look easy.
