Yeah, so... that makes it even worse, completely undercuts any potential drama in the episode’s conclusion and purposefully indirect with no narrative purpose. Just spinning wheels and filling airtime, like I’m saying.

lmao insane, he does such a good job clearly outlining the problem with “All Lives Matter” too
Man, I like... liked the original way back when it came out, but the worship this franchise-that’s-not-even-a-franchise-yet gets is pretty crazy. Hard to think of just the idea of any other game’s sequel getting so much hype other than maybe Earthbound.
I thought it was fine. Great cast (forgot Anna Torv was in it and she’s so good), but a lot of it felt slow and withholding. With things like the Fireflies and especially Ellie’s secret, it felt like it was doing the “we’re gonna cut away just before we explain” thing too much and a little inorganically, when they…
It's inherently not, so... that settles that I guess.
Nah, you guys are wrong. Google Stadia, like the Ouya, will thrive and come to dominate the future of gaming. A bunch of angry guys on the internet told me so.
Yeah man for sure when will a white hetero male finally catch a break
More important question, why do you think the CEO and co-founder of a company, the guy who overwhelmingly profits off the company more than any other individual, doesn’t need to take any accountability for his or his employees’ actions?
The idea that CN hasn't been aware of Roiland doing this shit for years, when it's been an open secret in the animation community, is pretty funny.
The fact that he’s guilty makes him guilty.
That’s a good point, I always forget just what an insanely sweet deal Roiland carved out for himself (particularly owning all the surrounding merchandising).
I don’t follow much about streamers, but every story I see about Amouranth makes her sound like a smart, decent professional. The stuff she must have to put up with must be insane.
Makes too much money, odds are better that the white executives put a minority woman in charge, pat themselves on the back for solving oppression, and continue to cash checks
..
Wow, shocked he finally got caught after years of everyone in Hollywood knowing what a piece of shit he is. Know multiple people with personal experience on his productions with stories of sexual harassment. Didn’t think he’d ever get in trouble, his projects make too much money.
I don’t know how you or anyone got the impression that gamers are less likely to be “Turned off” by violence than non-gamers, popular TV and Film is *full* of violence.
It looked bland and boring as hell, it was bland and boring as hell. There, I’ve solved the mystery.
Taxes, health insurance, lifetime judicial appointments, military policing... we do lots of things in incredibly weird (also evil, profit mongering, usually racist) ways!
Still very curious about this show — the premise and plot of TLOU are pretty unoriginal on their own (standard post-apocalyptic road setup), and it was really in the execution (dialogue, characters, balanced tone with the right amounts of emotion and tension, etc.) that it became a great story.
Honestly at this point video game adaptations (in TV, at least) have pretty much achieved the hit rate of non-game adaptations. Most shows are pretty terrible, just because it’s hard to create a good show! That stigma of "video game adaptation bad" from twenty years ago just lingers.
