Nah he was completely wrong both with his point and the faulty analogy that underscored how wrong it was, called out on it, then changed course and just desperately tried to reconfigure the argument to make it work

a classic case of you should’ve just taken the L

It’s one of the best movies of the 80s (and one that holds up better than most) though so... still pretty good

Boggles the damn mind that there are those who think the trans people and trans rights supporters are the bad guys, and not the bigots who attack them for bringing no harm to anybody.

Looks more like a 2010s D-movie made by Asylum than anything from the 50s. I like the idea but imo this stuff always is best coming from someone familiar with (or ideally, who loves) the source material it’s aping and this footage doesn’t give that impression.

That's just the compensatory damages, he will pay far more in punitive damages and be further punished in all the other upcoming cases (mostly defamation suits, but also that incoming perjury one).

That’s just the compensatory damages, and it’s a pretty good overall payout for that. They haven’t done punitive damages yet, and that’s where the larger payout always is (plus there are more defamation trials on the way).

Takes a special kind of dumdum to make Activision look like the good guy

Is this a weird bit? There’re plenty of gym leaders who aren’t children, Grusha probably isn’t a kid (especially as a former pro snowboarder), seems like that should be it.

Yeah, this looks... tough. Definitely don’t feel better about the game after watching.

lmao no, you incredibly dumb motherfucker

Great that they’re planning on being more culturally sensitive. Times change, and part of being smart, insightful, and providing relevant commentary is being aware of those changes.

Nico was an immigrant just hoping to make a better life for himself that got fucked over by modern America being a shithole. These characters are rarely bad/horrible/morally compromised, and often in the narrative are forced to come to terms with the “immoral” acts they commit.

Major corporations, yes. But a sadly ever-shrinking number of smaller businesses (especially in the US) are run the way most businesses used to be, with the idea of creating a lasting organization and product in mind. Making obscene profits beyond what will pay for the resources and manpower to keep the business

None of those others are limitations. Black and white becomes a color scheme that can be used with all kinds of dynamic effects that can’t be accomplished with other color schemes, and pixel art has advanced greatly over the years with technology being able to produce more and more impressive results between animation

Had the same reaction, and totally agree. It’s way too confusing a naming system. I’ve had to go back to the explainer multiple times to remind myself what I get when I see announcements like this.

Honestly making 44.5k on NFTs in 2022 is the most impressive thing GameStop has done in a long time

Not all games need to be for everybody. I have plenty of friends who’ve tried Souls games and, hitting the difficulty wall, aren’t interested in putting in the time and effort to overcome it.

Not sure why anyone would want to replicate that era of graphics, to be honest. It's defined more by its limitations than any sort of style, and later generations only improved the look while retaining the core elements.
