To be fare Japan has pretty good record turning anime/manga in to TV drama unlike the Hollywood does. For example: Death Note and the new Kenshin movie was pretty ok as well.

I don't recall my sister or any other Taiwanese woman I know being brought up submissive to men. Abusive husband maybe but that happen everywhere.

It's one of the original anime this season and it's up to Episode 2 atm, looking pretty good so far.

Man or Woman flashy gears and mean ass weapons always gets my attention for sure.

Modern military fighting dragons, orcs with a few elven archers and mages on your side.
