“friendship always wins in Japanese anime” *looks at countless anime where main characters die horrifically* Uhh....

Certainly is for me. Several years after being diagnosed and then treated for cancer, I am still having to go to cancer center doctors for regular check ups and scans. Most of these visits, even after insurance, are several thousand dollars each. I am fortunate in that my parents, whom I haven’t lived with in years,

As a parent to a child on the spectrum, that first one pisses me off so damn much.

True story. After my son was born, I needed a song to sing to him as a lullaby when he had trouble getting to sleep. Since I was a fan of the show, “Fly Me To The Moon” was one of the few slow songs I knew all the lyrics too. So I went with that and it’s now part of his bed time routine.

* looks at the copy he got last year * Um....your wait is over?

If you’re talking about the SRW anime, that had always featured their Original Generation characters. None of the licensed characters show up in it. It was made like that from the beginning, not because Harmony Gold got all pissy.

To be fair, the liscencing rights to the other 100 someodd shows represented in SRW don’t make it any easier. A lot of hate can be laid on Harmony Gold, but I wouldn’t blame them for lack of SRW.

Macross, Macross II, and Macross Plus are the only ones that have managed to get across. And Macross Plus only because it was being made with international release in mind so the makers of it sort of took a “Ok, FIGHT ME” approach to Harmony Gold and somehow managed to get them to back down after they head released

When my son was diagnosed I was told that most doctors use the term “Autism Spectrum Disorder”. And it’s because they have found that all these other disorders were part of the same thing that would sometimes overlap in different places.
This comic, while not addressing that exactly, helps explain the concept a

Like I said in another response, I didn’t properly phrase things in my initial post, so I can totally see how someone would be thinking I some how agreed with the anti-vax crowd in some form.

No it cannot. But I’m pretty sure this guy thinks that. So I am extrapolating that he thinks of Autism as “damage”.

My post wasn’t clear (had to type it just before I was out the door). I know that vaccines don’t cause Autism, but this joker obviously does not. The go to “damage from vaccines” is Autism.
That’s what I was getting at. In his mind, Autism is “damage” no just another way of thinking.
In summation, fuck this guy.

As the parent of a child with Autism, his “vaccine damaged” comment bugs me as well. My child isn’t “damaged”, he just thinks differently. So lets add ableism ontop of the racism.

As someone with a family member who is hearing impaired, this pisses me off royally.
I know the decision is not coming from a place of malice, but more a place of apathy. And to be honest, that’s almost worst. They simply didn’t think about it, or didn’t care. Uhg.

Ok... how do I download the original video so I can do this my self.  This looks like too much fun to pass up.

The detail on theses is crazy. I saw someone putting together a General Grevious, and that thing even included the little “gut sack” buried under his armor. It’s even done in multiple pieces.

THIS. As far as I can tell, all the story is in these videos and other side media. The rest is, “team up and shoot at other people”. The game doesn’t even keep the “bad guys” separate from the “good guys”. Anyone can end up on the same team together, even though according to the story they should be fighting.

When my then girl friend, now wife, first visited me in Texas, it was spring and I made sure to show her a field of bluebonnets. She instantly fell in love with them and they became her favorite flower. We actually used fake bluebonnets in our wedding, which getting those was a fun story as well.

Yes, we have no Megyn Kelly.
We have no Megyn Kelly Today.

3 years cancer free and I’m with you. Fuck Cancer!
