Funnily enough, most male dancers will tell you the over the head lifts are the easier ones; the “barely lifting her off the ground while she floats like some ethereal being while I run smoothly” are the most difficult.

Gene Kelly was always grateful to Judy Garland for the tips she gave him concerning screen acting. He was really nervous and she put him at ease. I think that’s really cool. :)

wow. ONJ is sloppy.

He was 74 when he did this!

Male ballet dancers can bench entire people. How is that not badass?

I will never get over how relaxed and light on his feet he was. He makes it look effortless.

Oh jeez! I hope your son eventually finds his way back to dance class. It sucks how soon kids gets these toxic messages about masculinity.

I never watch DWTS, but I know how wildly popular it is. I think that may have been what surprised me most about her comments. Not only was it insensitive to boys/men who may want to dance, it’s insensitive to the many men already dancing on her own network.

My son, also 6, loves to dance. He loves to do cartwheels, sommersaults, and swing. He was in an acrobatics-dance class at age 4 that he than asked to repeat at age 5 because he liked it so much.

That story about going through a grocery store and accidentally grabbing a Beyond Beef package, he doesn’t say what the bad consequence of that is. Given his position, I’m assuming he thinks accidentally not feeding his son real beef will turn him gay?

So small government conservatives and anti-regulation types are very angry about this?

If you aren’t concerned over the fact that the things that literally produce the oxygen we breathe are slowly dying due to fire and extreme heat, you deserve to suffocate.

Late stage capitalism, everything has a price and no one can afford principles.

Burn a person’s home and source of sustenance with no provisions for their ongoing needs is a ‘disruption’?

The wiping out of an entire ethnicity isn’t not genocide simply because the people doing it are only in it for the profit instead of some kind of racial animus. Entire unique cultures are being destroyed by land speculation and deforestation. They aren't any less dead because the people doing it just want money.
