I really want Leah Remini & Mike Rinder to cover NXIVM as part of their A&E series. They covered Jehovah’s Witness (compare/contrast) and Nation of Islam (connection between NoI & Co$); NXIVM seems to be an almost carbon copy of Co$.

If you’re interested in the story, I highly suggest the Uncover podcast. I binged it the weekend before last. About half way through, it struck me how much this guy was aiming to be the next L. Ron Hubbard, so it’s not surprising to hear that he’s using the defense that Scientology gets away with it. Is Scavage

“My safety fragile little ego was in jeopardy at more than one time.”

White guy here. So I’m no mental health expert, but there is exactly a zero percent chance this woman was suicidal. Because if she was, this video makes it painfully obvious that all she had to do was twitch just a little, and this officer would have gladly ended her life for her.

short for “dominus obsequious sororium,” Latin for...

Why does Mack get to testify against the guy and his organization that she reportedly was the number 2 in charge? Doesn’t that, at bare min., prove she is as guilty as him?

This is classic divide and conquer behavior from abusers and narcissists.

Honestly some of the ‘mean girl’ panic always feels to me like its rooted in the assumption that girls - and only girls - are supposed to be ‘nice,’ so its some sort of hideous anomaly when they’re not. But all teenagers are experimenting with power and aggression, its just that everyone thinks its normal when boys do

I read a recent study that examined woman on woman bullying in the workplace. Conclusion? Women tend to bully other women in the workplace when there is lack of diversity in top spots. When you don’t see coworkers who look like you, you tend to think you’re “accepted” so when another woman comes along, you turn

Can you imagine being Kate Middleton, hooking up with the dude when he was still very conventionally attractive, and then within like 10 years he basically ages into a pale pencil eraser with a Mr. Potato Head face stuck on.

The Windsor genes (well, Queen Alexandra’s genes) really caught up with him. Their poor, strangely elongated faces.

I think it’s a number of factors:

This. “Oh we just want privacy” cool ok, take the millions you’ve already 'earned' from your estates and kindly stop accepting taxpayer's handouts.

Eh, she looked the other way for years. They didn’t call her Waity Katey for nothing. It wasn’t just the tabloid rags calling her that either. Her social climbing mother told her to let him run free and stay quiet. Kate’s family isn’t aristocratic. They need that marriage more than the other girls he dated, who didn’t

My recollection of the timeline was that Charles’ infidelity had become public by the time she started stepping out, that the marriage had been over for some time, and they were all just waiting for Elizabeth to finally let them divorce. That being said, I was a teenager when the drama erupted, and I might have some

I can see Will cheating. For 10 years, he pretty much sowed his royal oats while she bided her time and looked the other way. She didn’t earn the nickname Waity Katey for nothing. I don’t think she will go anywhere. She didn’t before. I think part of the reason their relationship works is her willingness to stick

Tons, but since Charles cheated first her affairs were made a part of a “running into the arms of another man for comfort” narrative.

Even Charles and Camilla pulled off this pivot

At first I was like ‘leave them be if it happened it happened and they’ve addressed it with one another.’ But then I realized that they’re monarchs who live freely on the dime of the country and do practically nothing but look pretty. So in light of that eat the rich

You “don’t think she’d stand for it”??? What does that even mean? It’s not like we have complete control over other peoples’ bodies and I’m also not sure why you would think she wouldn’t stay with him (if that’s what you meant). There is nothing about her that strikes me as some unconventional, radical royal.
