tbh beyonce and jay-z being together makes me sad. it seems like (if we believe lemonade to be true...which maybe it is??) bey is repeating the cycle that tina and matthew had. obviously this is me reading into a situation i know nothing about (like a celeb gossip lol) but yeah

This. Like, 25 was a prefectly cromulent and serviceable album, but Lemonade was on an entirely different planet of artistry.

“Hello,” wasn’t nearly that great of a track and I can’t even remember a single other song off that album.

I’m still processing the BS that was Lemonade not winning record or album of the year.

Lemonade really should have won. She got cheated, that sucks. 25 as much as I liked it, it was a budget Celine Dion album.

If Blue Ivy could just jump up and down and cheer for me on a regular basis, I think I could do anything. I’m definitely not baby crazy, or even really that interested in other people’s kids, but for some reason that child just makes my heart melt.

That line in Formation about the “negro nose with Jackson 5 nostrils” made me, a Korean American, so proud of my flat, non-European nose for the first time.

No.

I saw her clapback at someone who was pissed at her for being vocal against Trump. The woman said something to effect that she was going to throw her HP books away or burn them, and JKR was like, “ that’s fine. I already got your money. Byeeeeee!”

Jk Rowling rocks. She has been vocal in the criticism of you know who.

Don’t forget to funnel that rage into campaigns, too. 2018 will be here before we know it.

I’m perfectly glad to boycott movies by pedos and misogynists. I just looked at Arau’s filmography, and it won’t be an undue hardship.

Now playing

Yes! It was Italian and she was auditioning for King Kong. She mentoned it in an interview with Graham Norton.

Look at Viola Davis or Cate Blanchett.

Have you watched the first few series of Prime Suspect? She’s somehow hotter at 70 than she was at 40.

Yesss. And she is a beautiful woman, for sure, but her looks are definitely secondary to her talent. She’s what all actresses should aspire to if they want an actual lifelong career.

Meryl Streep’s beauty is enhanced by her crooked face.

I was thinking “Meryl Streep” before I even finished reading your comment. I was saying to my cousin during the Golden Globes “you know, no one ever talks shit about Meryl Streep aging poorly or even praises her for aging well. Because she’s known for skill, not beauty. And that’s more durable.”

I think that female actors (well, and male actors, too) who emerge from the theater world are usually a lot more interesting. Theatre is just about having skills and owning your craft and less attention is paid to physical appearance and perfection. Then, when these women work in film, they stand out among the other

See also: Casey Affleck. It is truly disheartening watching him get showered with accolades after reading about his behavior with those two co-workers on and off set. The fact that he “settled” the cases doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
