I went out last night, properly, then came home and watched Terminator 2: Judgment Day for the first time. Hot damn, that movie kicks ass.

On the other end of the spectrum, Stellantis’ Alfa Romeo and Fiat brands had the best available remaining inventories on a days’ supply basis.

Mainly posting to note that Bruce Springsteen has essentially vanished off the air in the Southern California market.

Base GTI for $33K all but confirmed.

Hold on one second- that is the one part on a VAG that never fails!

VAG’s check engine light

I think it looks really nice, but let’s be honest - it wouldn’t sell in numbers unless they gave it the Crosstrek treatment - lifted it and gave it some crossover cladding.

Another vehicle we think is awesome because we can’t get it in the US.

Someone’s going to have to explain to me Jalopnik’s stance on when dodging emissions laws is cheeky/sneaky/subversive vs. THE WORST THING EVER.

Part of the issue there is that cheap money is used to rationalize spending more.

#2 - I mean, don’t get into fights. It’s dumb and it gets you banned and maybe hurt. But as a racetrack marshal, I know that fights can be broken up swiftly by grabbing the chin bar and yanking downwards. Control the head and you control the body. Also there’s no risk of getting bitten through a helmet.

I am finding more and more that Jalopnik and its commentators are not better than this. Its Gawker with (sometimes) cars

I’m no fan of the police but this is a dumb take, even after the correction for the very large, obvious, and premise-changing error which was inserted way down at the bottom of the article well after a significant conversation predicated by said error had already occurred.

Yawn. If you can’t attack the facts, just throw names around.

Plus, my question is - are this many people truly in dire need for a car? It’s pretty wild what the car market is doing right now - I would imagine most people have a car of some sort they are replacing...friggin stick with it for as long as possible until this madness calms down (and maybe that’s good advice in

I’ve driven up and down the 110 (near the neighborhood where this went down) a bunch this last week or so and I am constantly seeing illegal fireworks being set off. Not Roman candles or bottle rockets - but the real deal shit that a city will set off during holidays festivities. It’s so stupid for a number of

Reads to me like the containment vessel failed.

There is almost as much stupid in this comment thread as in the headline.

3rd Gear: I work at a Hyundai dealer, and I overheard some talk that our incoming inventory hasn’t been affected too much, but our on-the-lot new inventory is low because we’re getting so many buyers coming from the Honda, Chevy, etc. dealers that don’t have inventory.

I love how nobody actually thinks about how large 5000lb of fireworks is, and immediately skews towards “all those fireworks in that truck”.

They wouldn’t fit. It’s the “oh, and we found some homemade explosives” that went off and destroyed the container, because... y’know.... they actually fit in it.
