“only 204 miles”

Now do the TikTok-ers that use it primarily as a jumping off point for their OnlyFans accounts.

Cooling, weight, power delivery, sound, etc.

Also, the 4.0l NA engine already has 500 hp. No one needs more. More is stupid.

As someone that specifically bought a GT3 over a Turbo for the sound: yes, it’s for the sound.

The revelation that a wing works better mounted from its topside than on a pedestal is the worst thing to happen to supercar styling since NACA ducts. Just as we have come to accept the aesthetic shortcomings of NACA ducts because of their function, so too will the hanging wing become styling shorthand for performance

I feel like so much of this is going to be based on the individual shops. But my personal experience - i.e. cars I’ve owned, or looked closely at - is like this (in no particular order).

(laughs) I read that as “Siennas”, and was like wow, this guy doesn’t get out much...

Or they are admirably sticking to their guns and refusing to accept the very real tradeoffs of forced induction engines in light, sporty cars.

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t they say they would not do exactly this (stuff a V8 in a Wrangler) ages ago because it was a hilariously bad idea with this platform?

I like how people think CFD is some sort of all powerful replacement for real-world testing.

I NEVER fully trust CFD until I get a design in a wind tunnel to verify (aerospace engineer here).

Ummm ... You could run F1 races on one set of standardized racing racing tires too. Yet Pirelli produces no less than nine different combinations of slicks and treaded tires for F1 racing.

I promise you, the current spec Formula E cars are MUCH faster around a lap than anything Tesla has ever built.

This just seems... crazy (unlikely)?

If you actually wanted to watch that type of racing, you’d watch F4 religiously. The problem with that is that nobody cares about F4 (myself included)

Yes, you’re wrong. I do CFD as part of my job and its minutes for simulations of things you could do with a hand calc. It’s hours for simulations of things you could do with a series of complex hand calcs. Its days/weeks to do detailed analyses on the types of flow/geometry you see in F1. More runtime means:

Less

Like the development ban, this only locks in the currently successful teams and locks out everybody else. Yes, they are expensive, so is F1. If you really want to save money and be environmentally friendly, reduce the on track team to 10 or 15 people, eliminate telemetry and limit any software based adjustments to a

It’s especially funny because given the age of most posters here, when they hear “Blazer” they should realistically be picturing not this:

I don’t want to sound cynical, but while it is very resourceful for GM to source its developing market cars from their Chinese partners, it seems like it’s a.) a poor way to build brand equity since what is a “Chevy” actually isn’t and b.) kind of insulting to the consumer to pass off someone else’s car as a “Chevy”
