You’ve actually managed to make the original design attractive by creating a mockup that looks absolutely atrocious. Good job! That’s certainly one way to make us like the new styling.

Those old grilles were obnoxious too. If designers back then had access to modern technology their designs would have been equally ostentatious.
This design is going to be a hit with the douchebags. It’s ostentatious and hyper-aggressive in all the right ways. I’m just surprised that they didn’t black out all the lights and drop the suspension even further.
I’m already pissed off that NBC stuck most of the Premier League on Peacock. It’s a struggle sticking to my principles and missing out on all those games.
From what I’ve seen Harleys are getting popular in urban areas, second to dirt bikes and ATVs. I can’t really explain the popularity, but I think there’s a perception that they’re safer than sportsbikes. And they’re obnoxiously loud.
Europe solved that problem a long time ago via taxes. Consumers tend to be a lot more thoughtful about the cars they buy when gasoline is expensive and cars are taxed on displacement or CO2 emissions.
Plastics used in cars are formulated to resist things like temperature changes. Secondly, the stuff that goes into cars is designed and tested to ensure it can endure vibrations over a long period of time. I don’t see the foam lasting more than a year and all the strap is good for is to cut through the foam and then…
I like it but the rims are way too big and detract from the overall styling. This car demands bigger sidewalls.
You seriously need to re-read that paragraph. She specifically states that “weasel words” is the best way she can describe the results.
How can you be late to a segment that has appeared within the past decade? Even the automaker who kicked it off is still on gen 1 vehicles.
It’s probably powdered metal which is then sintered. Given that this is a low production car BMW is likely trying out the process on inconsequential components. The real driver here is cost cutting because less machining is required to achieve a finished part. The marketing angle is merely a bonus.
Toyota offers the Yaris GR with 268hp. But that car is only available in Europe. Fortunately, a Corolla GR is planned which expected to feature the same engine and should be available in the US.
I like it. There’s something about it that reminds me of the FJ Cruiser, one of the other rare offroaders I find appealing.
I don’t always agree with Ramsey, but you have to appreciate where he’s coming from. He actively tries to discourage ALL wasteful spending. Listen long enough and it becomes evident that the majority of his callers are working class. It doesn’t matter that you’ve saved $5,000 when you shouldn’t have spent $35,000 to…
I expect electric cars will become very much like computers. Unlike ICE, who makes the engine will no longer matter because there’s nothing to distinguish them.
Styling-wise I think the update addresses some the issues I have with the current model but beyond that I’d have to see it in person. I think the interior is still pretty nice and is a hell of a lot more elegant than what Acura came up with for the new TLX.
China is online? The leaders in battery tech are the Koreans and Japanese. The underpinnings of quite a few electric vehicles were developed by LG.
Looks like the taillight styling from the UX is being integrated across the rest of the lineup. I’m okay with that because the UX is quite striking.
I generally avoid Harbor Freight. That said, price doesn’t always equal quality. Whatever differences do exist are largely irrelevant to the amateur. Even then, there are plenty of expensive tools that have fallen victim to cost-cutting and are even made on the same line as the cheap stuff.
I don’t understand why people keep insisting that COVID-19 is like an economic light switch where the moment it passes the economy will immediately return to normal.
