This whole venture reeks of typical American management: a kernel of a good idea ruined by a whole series of bad decisions. The most pathetic thing is that when they eventually kill this bike they’re not going to do any self-assessment, they’re going to blame a bunch of external factors.

American parents act like they’re raising an army of giants. Your average family has 2 kids which means that any compact sedan could seat them comfortably.

Wow, that photo makes the interior look cheap and tacky. I get that it’s not a great photo, taken in less than ideal light, but the whole thing screams cost-cutting.

All American automakers have always had this problem of over-styling interiors to look upmarket despite not having the budget for it. Instead of embracing constraints they go for that initial wow factor. The unfortunate result is always an interior that looks busy and cheap.

Honestly, the worst aspect of that interior is the steering wheel; it looks incredibly cheap. While I think there should be a few physical buttons in there, the rest would be okay if there were a second informational display for the driver.

If this thing could work as a remote for all your devices, that would be fantastic. Connect via Bluetooth or IR and the display changes based on the connected device. I think there’s a lot more potential there than this weird, non-standard phone trying to compete in an incredibly crowded market.

Over $95k and still unreliable. Is the lack of reliability some kind of badge of honor or does it ensure exclusivity? Perhaps your average consumer is not special enough to put up with this level of unreliability. Or is it like when ultra-luxury brands destroy unsold product so that the plebs can’t get their hands on

I suspect that Audi believes the only people who will be buying these things will fall on the top end of the economic spectrum. The RS4 is too plebeian for that demographic.

Given the trouble Samsung and everybody else have been having why the hell would you want this to have a folding display?

Join the club! My MacBook Pro has been doing this since the day I got it.

I’m in my 40s, with 2 kids, and we own two small hatchbacks. It might be once a year that a larger vehicle would be useful and I suspect that’s the case for most people. So it’s impossible for me to justify a larger, less efficient vehicle.

The NSX wasn’t kicking anyone’s ass. It was a competent car that was very satisfying to drive but was never a world beater. It’s strongest aspects were refinement and reliability, but the thing that really made it special was that it was something different from Honda.

Oops! I looked for that and clearly missed it... That does change everything.

Nowhere near as many men were killed as you seem to believe. Mass desertion was a problem and battles usually ended when nobles were killed or captured. It was rare that an army was wiped out and even then most soldiers simply fled back home.

Amazon doesn’t make earbuds, wireless or otherwise, so what’s the problem? This isn’t Microsoft or Google we’re talking about here.

One of the end results is a variable refresh rate, as low as 1Hz (one refresh per second). Obviously that’s not enough to keep the second hand moving

Becky never uses more than 75hp, which just goes to show how ridiculous power output has gotten.

Does it actually look dated or are you saying that just because it has a Cadillac badge? It looks as contemporary as anything else on the road. I also think this looks decent although I agree that there are a lot of better looking cars on the market.

Apple late to the game and the market is far too saturated. We’re no longer in a world where they can ride the wave of success on branding alone.
