I suspect this car is actually based on a platform from Hyundai or Kia. I don’t think the similarities are a coincidence.

Anyone who does a basic level of research quickly learns that fitness bands are inaccurate for heart rate measurement. If you want more accuracy you need a chest strap and even those aren’t perfect.
This sounds like an awfully complex variation of the Gyrojet. It was basically a gun that fired rocket-powered rounds. The problem with that gun was that at short ranges the bullets were harmless because they hadn’t yet gotten up to lethal speeds. The Pogojet seems to address that particular issue by adding the piston…
Is this car as ugly in real life as it is in photos? Every time I look at that Scion I think of someone doing this:
It’s not that hard to imagine. Smartphones are complex, intricate bits of technology and guns, at their core, are a metal pipe with a couple of levers, springs and catches. We’ve been making guns for hundreds of years and smartphones for roughly 15.
The neighbor across the street remote starts her car and then leaves it running for a good 15+ minutes. Every time I see assholes do that I want to take the car and park it around the block.
Microsoft seems to have a penchant for getting into these partnerships where the partner makes a mess of things.
I’ve got a better plan: don’t consume the content at all.
Segways were expensive because they were the first of their kind. They basically created this entire market. If Segway made a mistake it’s that they didn’t evolve with the market and are now relying on the legal system to stifle competition. But that assumes their business is doing poorly at all. And in any case it…
I’m really curious to know how much of the new UI will be Ford’s. Most automakers and their suppliers absolutely suck at interface design and Microsoft’s big mistake was allowing Ford to do what they wanted with the platform.
While I think these things are a stupid waste of money, there’s something about them I find appealing. They’re a superfluous display of technology like you’d find in a sci fi movie. There’s a small reminder that we do live in amazing times.
From personal experience, actual performance overseas is nowhere near what these reports continue to claim. Not that things are great in the US, but the practical reality isn’t always reflected.
The Cayenne is still ugly; it just doesn’t seem so bad because uglier cars have since entered the market.
Developing a piece of tech or funding cancer research aren’t mutually exclusive. You can’t will progress because you will never know where advancements will come from. Furthermore, a mountain of money isn’t some magic panacea.
It’s definitely a mish-mash of styles where the concept was more focused.
Looks like a bunch of spoiled rich kids being spoiled rich kids. 3 years ago they would have been riding overpriced bicycles.
Just think, those idiots in California, instead of going with proven Japanese technology have chosen the Chinese knockoff instead.
This bullshit again?
Tell that to corporate drones who are still infatuated with everything Apple and refuse to consider anything else. They continue to perceive Apple products as status symbols. To be honest, that does seem to be Apple’s goal. It’s what enables these people to be okay with a having to take in a MacBook for repair a lot…
It varies by the item being featured, but many are surprisingly complex to build. I think, excluding cars, that it tends to be luxury items that feature a less than impressive manufacturing process.
