One thing I’ve noticed about MLS broadcasts versus EPL, and other European leagues, is that the sound of the stadium are really cranked up. I realize that the goal is to instill excitement, but it gets to the point that sometimes it’s hard to hear what the commentators are saying. I find that Liga MX broadcasts have a

I see Nissan’s designers were hard at work copying the i3 and i7’s design language. If it weren’t for the Nissan lapping tongue grille these could have easily been confused for new BMWs.

Anyone Apple could have chosen would have been polarizing. Ignoring the history between the band and Apple, U2 is probably about the least offensive rock band with whom they could have partnered.

His move doesn’t say anything about the state of MLS. The same exact thing happens all the time in Europe, sometimes within the same league. This is more a reflection of these individual teams than anything.

This thing is ingenious as hell, but I can’t imagine it being particularly useful outside of an art school.

Isn’t going with a competing video service a viable alternative? If you guys are linking to videos from Gawker sites what does it matter if the host is YouTube or anyone else? Or does the competition already have certain restrictions?

I don’t mind supporting individual channels, but Google can fuck off if they expect me to pay them a subscription fee. Hopefully most people will follow suit, but I’m not holding my breath.

I’ve always hated transparent shells, going all the way back to the days of pagers. It’s cool to see the guts of a device, but these things always look like shit. It’s just a busy mess of exposed electronics.

What you’re basically saying is that you don’t like the styling of modern cars because your preferences are driven by nostalgia. That’s perfectly fine, but that doesn’t mean modern Ferraris are ugly.

I never understood the snobbery towards pizza. I’ve been to restaurants with a supposed history of producing fantastic pizza and I found them to be no better than the random shop up the street. The vast majority of pizza, even the “good” stuff often is a greasy and soggy, distinguished only by the toppings used. A

How does this help the content producers? I assume all those YouTube channels will still rely on their own means to generate income. I can’t imagine many people being keen on paying this subscription and also supporting a favorite channel. It seems to me like the little guys are going to get screwed.

If any of us who were around in 1985 showed up in 2015 I’m fairly certain we’d be in awe. It might not be immediate, but it wouldn’t take long.

This Escort is hands down the best looking car he’s driven to date.

I have a better explanation. The big panels offer a unique form of propulsion. They move through craft through space via gravity disortion or some such thing while offering the added advantage of providing some level of shielding. In that scenario all you really do need is a compartment for the pilot.

It’s funny to see what they consider “obvious” mistakes. Even with these being pointed out they’re still easy to miss. This attention to detail is on a whole other level.

Everyone in the world takes America to mean the United States and has done so for decades, if not longer. I don’t understand why some people keep dredging up this nonsense.

I’m not sure how much of a difference there can possibly be between these keyboards. I like Apple keyboards, but they’re definitely not the best thing ever. Typing on an old school, clacky IBM keyboard is fun and surprisingly comfortable. I just could never go back and live with noise or the higher profile keys.

Connecticut, what a peice of shit state... I don’t know what’s worse; NIMBYs with money who stifle any opportunity for progress, or an incompetent, corrupt government. I could go on and on about all the problems with this state and its municipalities.

I fully believe that climate change is occurring. However, to suggest that universities are a sanctury of independent, unbiased thought is ridiculous. The schools, and professors themselves can certainly have their own agendas, but academic research is routinely funded by outside interests. Not that it makes research

At least you can ride it to the lake. No need for a trailer.
