People use it bcz it’s there, it gets rid of an annoyance (and has been for as long as I can remember), and it’s a readily available option. You can get it on the Chrome web store, free, which is Google; and it blocks ads on YouTube, which is Google... You’d think less people would use it if it wasn’t so available.

Very nice! My only criticism would be that it has that typical ghostly PhotoShop look to it; but that’s minor, and it gives it an otherworldly quality anyways.
