Two things: she's got a case of the "I'm not racist, so it's okays." And there's this odd defense people seem to be using these days where they respond with, "It's not racism, it's a stereotype; learn the difference."

It's like calling Genesis a prog-rock band; maybe there was a time and place when they were, but that's not what they're best known for. But yeah, I'd never consider them a prog-rock band.
