It looks like the cars that I crash into while playing Burnout 3's/Revenge's Crash mode.
One of my relatives is a truck driver in CO. He traveled up that road while hauling a trailer full of Doritos. Once he got to the summit, he went to check on the chips in the trailer. 25% of the bags exploded. His boss wasn't happy even after the science lesson.
