NASCAR is closely tied to American history. It got it's roots during the Prohibition Era from bootleggers tuning up cars to outrun the feds.

I wish we had more cars like that in the U.S. Semi trucks and school buses have them, but why not cars and pickups? Would be a whole lot better.
