SHENZHEN I/O. It’s a game about designing cheap Chinese electronic made by Zachtronics aka the guy who made Spacechem.

The first job is to design a fake security camera, which just consists of a couple of microcontrollers programmed to make lights blink periodically. For the level I’m on now I’m going to make an audio

Yeah. If I forget this is a Messhof game I like the art. Zipster’s description of it as Simpsons + Nightmares is apt and I get a kick out of it (the updated Wurm is the worst thing ever and I love it). But I think the aesthetic of Nidhogg and Flywrench is basically one of the coolest things in all of videogames, so

The new Hitman has some really good NPC chatter. There is a guy with a broken down motorcycle in sapienza who has a great monologue.

I wasn’t able to find a video of it, but I did find a transcript on twitter.

Now playing

I’ve got a soft spot for the Etrian Odyssey games. It has some really good chill exploration music.

I actually used to read that site on a pretty much daily basis for years. Not sure why I stopped but Tommy the Tweaker pt 2 is as good of a reason as any to get back into it.

Oh man that is top quality Mary Worth right there, it’s making me want to get back into newspaper comics.

In fact it inspired me to start looking through recent Mary Worth strips and I’ve determined that this is the greatest thing to ever grace a newspaper page.

Yeah I thought the map design was much improved, particularly in Conquest. I also really liked how they changed the pair up system.

One cool way to mix in some traditional classes into Birthright is by picking a traditional classes as your secondary class at the start and then passing to your spouse. I gave my

Characters don’t carry over between routes, although you can choose to save a couple characters to summon as Einherjar in later playthroughs. I’ve never actually summoned any Einherjar so I’m not sure exactly how that works.

When you buy a new route it is essentially treated as DLC. So if you wanted to play

I wonder how well these map packs are selling? I love Fates but it’s hard to make a case for buying map packs when there are 3 full routes to play through first.

(On a related note I just checked my play time and I’ve played more Fates than my next two most played 3DS games, which is a kinda disturbing discovery.

The teamfight at 67 min has to be the craziest thing I’ve seen in E-sports. The way the fight turns around completely 3 times in about ten seconds was amazing. I was sure Secret had lost after the stolen black hole, but they managed to turn things around just enough for me get my hopes up before the inevitable

I just started listing to some stuff from the new Perturbator album so this was the perfect time to be reminded of the idea of cyber-ghosts. Probably gonna have to go on a cyberpunk binge now.

As a Secret fan I’m full of conflicting emotions right now. I hate to see the team get broken up, but if they are able to fully integrate Arteezy and Universe the team will be amazing. It’s also going to be really cool seeing Arteezy and EE on the same team.

I have loads of suggestions, but it kinda depends on what you are looking for.

If a cyberpunk/fantasy hybrid seems like something you would like I’d recommend the Shadowrun series, either Dragonfall or Hong Kong depending on if you prefer China or Germany as a setting. They have a really nice pace, good characters and

The study polled likely voters not just republicans and 75% of the most anti-authoritarian respondents were democrats and 55% of surveyed republicans were rated as high or very high authoritarians. (See section 5 of the first link in the article).

That said I imagine the discrepancy is due to the definition of

Why do you doubt him? It’s not like playing videogames is a rare thing.

You can visit other players castles and fight them, you don’t get any xp but you can build supports during the battles. So provided you don’t mind grinding a bit you should be able to pair everyone off without any problems.

Nice. Just two more months till the sequel comes out. I’m really looking forward to it, but if it is as long as the last one I have no idea where I’m going to find the time.

There are paralogues, 6 are shared between games and then 8 unique to the version. So there are 41 missions per game 29 of which are unique.

They did the same thing, but sadly the special edition sold out pretty much immediately. They are going for over $200 on ebay now. I’m holding out some hope that those prices will drop to something reasonable after launch, but I kinda doubt it will happen.

If you buy one cartridge you can download the second game for half price, if that is something that appeals at all. Also the differences are less about hard vs easy and more about map design, variation in objectives and availability of grinding.

Those differences do result in Conquest being harder, but that is due to
