I have a really hard time seeing how phoenix mode could still be very hard, having all your non-Corrin units revive at the start of your turn just seems way too good. If feel like if you have that on and get some general Fire Emblem tips you will probably be fine. That said I haven’t played the game so what do I know?

Complaining that a game is too long really isn’t ridiculous. I do it all the time! There are so many great games that I have barely made a dent in because I don’t have the time, it’s depressing. I would probably go for the New 3DS. If you can find a bundle you want then the price of the system is pretty close to the regular 3DS and the improvements seem to be worth a small price increase (particularly because some games will only run on the New 3DS).
