Marketplace is definitely the way to go. You can get much cheaper prices there (generally). I've bought two full Death Prophet sets for less than a dollar combined.

The family based emergent narrative thing reminds me of Crusader Kings, crossing that with a JRPG is pretty appealing.

Yep that was my first thought when I saw this article. It's probably the broiest videogaming ad I've seen in a while.

Honestly the most alienating thing about it for me is how seriously it takes itself.

I love that Alabama's most pirated game is the Sims 2. A 10 year old game that EA is literally giving away for free.

I torrent'd a Jesus once. I thought he'd be the sweetest perfection, to call my own. But his file was corrupted and he came out twisted like a halo in reverse. Now I'm waiting for the night to fall so I can escape.

Exactly. It's not great, but there is really no reason to take a stand against it. It's unobtrusive and it gives you free junk, some of which is actually good. The only problem I ever had was with Bulletstorm and that was entirely due to Games for Windows Live (which is what a real abominable DRM service looks like).

O

The people who love Steam hate Origin for not being Steam, the people who hate Steam hate Origin for being like Steam and everyone else hates it because EA is the designated whipping boy of the gaming community.

I think it's quite good personally, not as good as Steam but definitely worth installing to get free stuff.

Keeping someone in jail until their trial isn't to punish them, it's to prevent them from fleeing. Generally one can get out on bail (basically you give up some money to get out of jail and you get it back provided you show up for your trial).

It really is an interesting game. I agree that it's design is a bit at odds with it self, the gameplay makes you conservative but the writing makes you want to recklessly explore.

I've found collecting strategic intelligence for the government is a pretty good way to make money while exploring. They generally send you

What do people think about the price? I plowed through everything but heroic mode in about 40 minutes and it was fun, but not particularly more fun than just playing the game normally. So I don't really see myself buying the other wings.

I really like the deckbuilding challenge aspect of heroic mode, but I will

Or just play Netrunner and not have to screw around with collecting stuff.

They sure are! Particularly when you get a university going. 2 gold + 2 culture + 2 science + 2 food from the jungle == insanity.

Yeah I think I'm just gonna have to watch some high level LOL and see what I think.

If you want to watch some good DOTA 2 the playoffs for the International can all be watched online. I watched the Titan vs Newbee best of three series a few days ago and it was quite good (http://www.dota2.com/international/…).

Thanks for the info!

I've been digging the variable pace of the TI4 matches I've watched. I also really like the pregame drafting strategy chatter. So I'm leaning towards sticking with DOTA2, but I'll probably download LOL just to give it a try.

MOBAs are such a commitment I want to make sure I wind up with the one I

I know that I could just watch some LOL tournament footage, but what is the difference between LOL and DOTA 2 as a spectator sport?

My experience with E-sports is basically a couple of bot matches of DOTA 2 and watching some TI4 (which I actually really liked) so I'm not sure what the difference is in terms of how the

Maybe they will be hyping the teams and reviewing the highlights of the tournament? I'm actually quite interested to see how ESPN approaches the ESPN 2 preview thing, since that is probably going to get the most main-stream exposure.

It's actually their streaming service. Why they decided to name their streaming service in a way that implies it is an actual channel is beyond me.

How amazing would it be if they included her and gave her an alternative voice over when she fights Robin like what happens when Jin fights Ragna in BlazBlue?

Very nice. It looks like the female Robin is stuck with a bronze sword while the male one gets a Levin sword. I wonder if you have the opportunity to change up your weapon or if it's just a cosmetic change?

(I like how the tomes can be depleted, it's a cool reference to Fire Emblems game mechanics).

I don't think having another two handed weapon person would be a problem (honestly I kinda wish I had another one instead of my archer) .

The only problem I can see with a battlemage is that their low starting strength might make your hit chance a bit lower than you would like. You can always customize the class at
