It's interesting how people are now seeing the value in difficult content, for example DayZ or Dark Souls, and how satisfying it is to be an expert at it.
I know I'll probably regret this comparison and can of worms, but it's how I feel about the old World of Warcraft. It used to require time and effort to see the

Tina this was a great write up of the feeling you get when progressing through Dark Souls (any of the games!).

DS2 taught me alot mentally about perseverance. At the time when I bought DS2 I feared failure to the point of not trying things because I hated that feeling of knowing I failed. I still have DS in my backlog that I want to finish, but at the time of its release, the thought of constantly dying made me ignore it.

But that's the thing! Most people don't get that you can master a game like this. It isn't just persevering because you try it enough times and it finally clicks, it's about learning and using what you learn to win. And that's the kind of victory I like.

I share your enthusiasm.

I actually had to play through it the week before on nights and weekends, in addition to my daily duties at Kotaku.

No thanks. I already have a hard enough time fearing what could be under the toilet seat.

They never wanted to make a port in the first place, they just did it because of the high demand and the petition that was started by fans. They also mentioned that if they do, they only do a straight port without any adjustments.

Please explain why you'd want to play a third-person action game with a mouse and keyboard.

I don't play racing games on PC so I really don't know, but I wonder if people who play them also complain about them not having proper KB+mouse controls.

Wahhhhh. Bring something new to the table, please.
