Newsflash: having consensual sex with someone before doesn't make it impossible for the situation to change and to turn into rape. If I were to say to a friend, for example, "we can have sex", but tomorrow the person I willingly had sex with turns up at my place in the middle of the night, breaks down my door and

Yes, that's true. However, the problem is that people seem to go with innocent until proven guilty for the rapist, and guilty until proven innocent for the victim, and that's a mentality that I wouldn't mind changing. So yes, there will probably be a couple of false rape accusations on every thousands upon thousands

I'd say, one person says stop, the other stops immediately. Unless maybe if they didn't hear it or something, but then the other person might already feel raped. I mean, that would be one of those rare cases of "accidental rape", although to miss someone saying stop, you'd have to already not really been paying

I think if he continues (even for a short time), that's rape.

If he stops immediately, then I don't think it's rape. Any second of continuing after she revoked her consent changes that, though.

"Why else would someone rape you?" Uh, maybe because that's what rapists do and they always find a way. Shitty cop level over 9000.

That's horrible. I'm so sorry that happened to you. :/

If someone was actually claiming to be raped while they weren't, then yes, that's wrong. However, 1. that doesn't happen - no one in their right mind would go through the hassle that accusing someone of rape is, and 2. it is up to the survivor to define their experiences. If they made it clear, in whatever way, that

I usually do, coffee is more like a last resort for me. Also, please forgive me if I make any language mistakes - I had an English grammar/linguistics exam this morning and it seems my brain has decided to give up on it for a while. Painful for a grammar nazi like me. :(

I don't know most of those, to be honest, and I doubt iced tea and regular tea are strong enough to allow me to be able to do an exam with 2-4 hours of sleep; and the taste of energy drinks makes me gag, unfortunately. It's nice of you to give me these hints, though. :)

You've got to be kidding me. That can't be real.

Just curious, but what about people who don't like the taste of coffee but need it to survive exams? Are we as despicable as the people who pretend to like it or is there an exception for us, poor students? :p

That is the most appropriate gif. I love it.

Yes, I was wondering about that, too.

Now I'm scared to death, and I really hope my mom doesn't hope I will come live with her to take care of her when she needs it... (I'm an only child and a girl) I have my own life ffs, I don't need her crazy ass around my place now that I've finally managed to escape...

This.

My laptop's battery is getting old and crappy and now it lasts for 30 minutes max (and that's not even watching movies, that's just using Word). If they take away the little screens they should at least give every seat a socket...

Huh? Do you have to pay? Is that an American thing? I flew from Brussels to Bangkok last year (12 hour flight) and luckily watching TV was free because if I wanted to read, suddenly everyone started bothering me (watching movies seems to be the only thing these people understand as "busy - do not bother me")... I

I want the concept of the screens to stay but please, there has to be another way than on the back of the seat in front of you. If the person in front of you reclines you can't see anything anymore. Also, if I want to watch something in that situation I'll have to recline my seat too, making me feel like a complete

Unfortunately, you're completely right. :/
