Two small comments because I'm a perfectionist: a gangbanger? What? :p And unfortunately I believe he killed 9 people, he also stabbed his roommates.

I regret not having been able to participate in this kind of thing as a child. It would've been a nice ego boost, and I would've loved it SO MUCH. I promise to encourage my kids (when I have them) in whatever would be for them what this would've been to 10 year old Lyra.

Pants is already plural, no need to pluralize it. :)

I'm assuming, since it is general knowledge he was an Aspie, that someone must've leaked it, and then I don't see why they would leak one thing but not the other.

Yes, thank you!

Thank you. :)

There's this thing called "agreeing to disagree". I think I'm slowly learning it. :p after all, we're both too convinced our vision is the truth, and arguing isn't going to change anything, so it's a waste of time, in a way.

You mean like the judge from a while back who said a rich kid who had gone on a joyride and killed people suffered from "Affluenza" and as a result was unable to know right from wrong? :p honestly, no, please not, because it would give them an excuse while there aren't any for what they (both) did.

His privilege made him unable to handle rejection. Our culture of toxic masculinity told him the correct way to deal with issues is anger, which he did.

Also, I didn't know that last part. That's quite shocking. I think here, they would force you to take therapy, maybe even go to a mental institution, but our prisons are full enough, they usually try to avoid locking people up I believe - which has its negative sides as well, obviously, but at least they don't lock

I don't agree everything outweighs his misogyny. If he hadn't been a misogynist or racist, I strongly doubt he would've gone on this killing spree. It was his misogyny and racism which made him depressed.

No, I still think it's unrelated, sorry. Asperger's makes you socially awkward. That's mostly it. If you want to know more details about what exactly Asperger changes (based upon what I've read, what several therapists told me, and what I've observed in my Aspie friend and myself), I'd recommend this one: http://crosst

Not my word as a "sufferer". My word as someone who has always been extremely interested in this stuff and has been reading about it ever since she was a child. I think I started reading about Autism and other disorders around 2 years before I got my NLD diagnosis, and 10 years before a therapist even mentioned a

I'm European, so that might be why I don't consider it a mental disorder - because generally, no one here considers it that.

What doesn't make sense, then? Because to me it's all logical, actually, but Aspies do tend to sometimes see things in a way that makes sense to us but doesn't to others, so if you care to tell me which part doesn't make sense, I can try to explain it better.

You're welcome. I generally try to assume the best of people, and I'm glad to see I was right this time. :)

Well maybe Americans are just crazy. In Europe it isn't considered a mental illness.

No one asked for your fucking pity. I did not mention my Asperger's to make you feel sorry for me. I'm high-functioning, just like Rodgers was, and I'm telling you, if you're high-functioning the influence it has is minimal compared to other forms. It most definitely isn't a mental disorder in that form. He was lonely

I know a lot of other issues are more prevalent in Aspies. If he has been in therapy all his life, though, and no one ever even mentioned another disorder, I doubt he had anything else going on.

Maybe, just maybe, just this once, take the word of someone who has spent half of her life reading about different disorders instead of your 5 second Google.
