Why would anyone expect a good TV series out of horrible books? The first two books in the Sword of Truth (Legend of the Seeker) were decent, but the rest were redundant, poorly-written re-hashes of other stories mixed with Goodkind's personal opinions, his condescending attitude in interviews and, last but not least,

@Kevin Garcia: They have a load of sci fi themed signs that are full of win over there, I'm going through them right now!

@LREKing: I thought we already had a sexual revolution?

@antisocialfatman: it could be worse...when my wife saw the board outside a theatre for Mission Impossible 2, she asked me "What the hell is Me Too?!" (display read MI:2) and she read Mission Impossible 3 as "mill" (displayed as MI:III)

You could also include the Dark Tower series and some of the Final Fantasy games in this mix.

@NightyFury: I saw it once, in 3D, and was bored fairly quickly. I don't mind re-hashes of old stories if they add something of interest to them, but Avatar was "same ol, same ol", beginning to end.

I'll have to consult Denis Leary on what animals will survive:

@Josh Wimmer: holy crap I used to have that book!

@enteecee: I agree with you on the irrational, horseshit answers, but what's impractical about moving away from the massive consumption seen here in America to a less materialistic society? Couldn't you argue that's one reason why we're in this economic and global climate mess in the first place? We might be better

@Asbestos_Underwear: Perhaps it's time to let go then? I know what you mean about resentment-I carried that for a long time with the faux Dune books-but, obviously, there's nothing you can do about it, so just ignore it and move on.

@Valkyrie607votesMizJenkins: While that link got a laugh out of me as well, I think the last sentence is sound advice: "The best thing for this planet is a concetrated effort to move people from cunsumption and material goods, to one based using what we have smartly and forgo the need to buy a new iphone every year

@CVDon: Hah! I got my wife to attend not one, but two WizardWorlds!! No coercion involved :)

@Krakenstein: number 2 reminds me of something out of Warhammer

@8x10: I was thinking Tim Roth, or even Sting as Feyd Rautha, but I can definitely see Bruce Willis circa Moonlighting

@Wolc Lupin: None of the planets we've found so far have pot, just speed.

@Fanboy: You didn't like BioWare's Knights of the Old Republic? Or Mass Effect?

This looks pretty cool...is it wrong that 'Saeglopur' sent chills down my spine?

@Death_By_SnuSnu: If you're making yourself try to like his stuff more, you're going about it the wrong way.
