Many people would argue that the line is where your depiction of the culture moves into stereotypes that have negative connotations or are offensive. While I'm not Japanese, so I can't speak to whether they would find this offensive, I could understand why they might, though given how some aspects of Japanese culture

Shit just got real, yo.

like i get it, there's tonal differences and different undertones or whateverthefuck BUT COME ON PANTONE IT'S THE SAME FUCKING COLOUR. IT'S THE SAME. THIS IS THE HILL I'M CHOOSING TO DIE ON.

I worked with someone who was on this color-choosing committee... it's pretty fascinating stuff, very cloak and dagger. And you WILL be seeing a lot of this color some months hence.

No no he had it right. He is our retarded. There is definitely something wrong with him and we are definitely having to deal with him. He is collectively ours.

If you're white then the justice system is fine. If you're black, you've got a 50/50 shot between never having a problem and being shot because someone thought you were reaching for your waistband, or you fit the description or you were resisting or whatever other bullshit some scared to death white former high school

Right, alleged shoplifting now warrants the death penalty. Stop excusing murder and stop blaming the victim.

Too bad Wilson had a 5500 pound, 200 hp, steel caged advantage. If only there was a way he could feel safe in a 0-60 mph in 10 seconds vehicle to stop Brown from hitting him.

"turn to the side for your Mcmugshot sir."

It aggravates the crap out of me when people deflect criticism with stupid shit like "Haters gonna hate!" and "They're just jealous!" and "Why can't people be nice?" Sometimes we are genuinely, objectively bad at certain things, and that's okay. We can acknowledge that we're bad at them, and learn from our failures.

I spend a lot of time talking to my students about it and other rape culture issues in sex ed. With teens, honestly, the Twilight books are a good jumping off point. "See how she can't have friends? How if she gets hurt it's her fault? Etc? That's never okay. Don't let your partner treat you like that"

"But what about all the rest of it? The controlling, the gaslighting, the financial abuse, the name-calling, the minimizing...is there any of that? Domestic violence is so much more subtle than just physical violence. I don't think she even knows that those things are violent as well."

I agree with your sentiment - it seems unlikely that he wasn't violent in some way to his wife before knocking her out.

That said, I think it bears repeating that he works in a violent sport where he engages in violence every day. Violence that is being more and more definitively linked to frontal lobe

No, no—- RAYven, like Ray. Like the Pinkett-Smiths, so completely self-absorbed.

Brain damage...Some kinds can...Subvert...The manifestation of one's sentience in biochemical form, shit's horrifying. Not saying that's the case here, but, if you look at Charles Whitman, he actually seems to have been a genuinely good person, but...A tumor in exactly the wrong part of his brain went necrotic,

uh greed.

if the NFL had banned him to begin with, he would not have been reinstated. He was reinstated because they punished him twice for one situation. Trying to 'hush hush' it in the beginning is what's biting the NFL in the ass now and served to make the story even bigger.
