Well, I think people noticed. Her statement was supposed to sound ridiculous to the viewer, that was the whole point. It showed she was from a generation with dying beliefs and rules.

Not only is the tweet offensive, it doesn’t even make sense. I know no normal people - men or women - who would think having a dick in their face against their will was “harmless fun.”

God, it’s only been three years? It feels like a lifetime. 

So I guess I’m the only one feeling nostalgic after that little girl in the photo is old enough to enroll in college. And that it’s been three years since we’ve had a sane/non-senile/not-a-total-unrepentant-dick president.

I doubt the native thing will be an issue. Those who pay attention know she’s addressed it to the satisfaction of the NA community. Meanwhile, Trump has no place criticizing her on that issue - and I expect she'll be prepared with a lacerating comeback if he does.

Appropriation is bullshit and should be called out, and I’m hardly inclined to defend someone like Dr. Luke or Katy Perry, but some of these recent copyright rulings are basically pushing the idea that someone can own very basic, simply music ideas and styles that aren’t at all creatively unique.
