As a gamer I’ve never understood it. I’d rather just play. Its not like sports where you need gear, a place and other people, and watching a game can be an outlet. Just go fire up the game system and you’re doing instead of watching.

I have both consoles but find it hard to play my PS4 because only 1 of my buddies has it but I would love to play PS4 and talk to my buddies at the same time regardless what game I was playing at the time. I miss Nioh and Horizons. I barely even touched…

Because PS4 is in a majority position. If they don’t allow crossplay, there is a greater pressure on minority system owners (Xbox One) to buy the PS4 in order to play with their friends. At least, that’s probably the perception in the board room.
