@jasu78: You're more than welcome to think Braid isn't worth it. I'm perfectly in favour of people thinking the game isn't good enough for them to personally justify spending 1200 msp on it. My only real objection is to people who throw a fit over the fact that it's priced that period. Clearly some of us are willing,

@stranger: Please, if you think I've attacked Jasu, tell me where I made any statement about him personally that was negative or attacking?

@stranger: Excuse me, but if he gets a percentage of the sale price, if the price is higher it's more money for BOTH per sale. So pardon me if my "12" year old math is confused, but where's your math that suggests he gets an equal or lower amount, per sale, at this price point?

@stranger: True, I suppose you weren't really ranting. It felt like such though since you were claiming to be paying 1200msp for a "rental" as you put it, and this seemed to me to be a very poorly researched argument. Sorry for accusing you of ranting, but it was at least a rather invalid point.

@stranger: A principle that "No digital game can be worth more than $10"?

Sigh, my kingdom for an edit button. "itself" as the last word, please.

@stranger: Sorry, the ? was a typo on my first sentence.

@Netnavi: Castlevania took me several days, but the total played time was ~7.5 hours on the save once I'd completed it and explored the complete castle.

@stranger: How did I repeat what you said: You said you must be signed into live. I point out exactly how you do NOT need to be signed into live. These seem to be different things. Maybe I'm confused, but the concept of negation is pretty clear to me.

@jasu78: So, pardon me, but what other XBox Live Arcade games have you waited for price drops on?

@stranger: XBLA games don't require you to be signed into Live? What world did your XBox come from? Here on Earth you either need to be signed into Live OR be playing it on the XBox it's licensed to play on. You can play it on the original XBox you purchased it on, or anywhere if you're signed into the Live account,

Note: I meant $10 or possibly 1200 msp, not $1200. I'm sure this is quite obvious, but I felt I should mention it.

First off: All of you who say it's "Poorly written" I hope have finished the game, and not just the demo. There's a lot there, and a lot of things aren't what they appear. Unfortunately you can't really deliver the nuances the game does in just the opening text you get in the demo.

Frankly, I think the service kinda sucks anyway. At least as far as I can tell, there's no obvious way to redownload videos (they don't show up listed the way game downloads do, nor do they show up in your old download list, and if you attempt to click on them it asks you to purchase them again).

Harmless my (censored). How many independent games have you purchased online? Little $5 and $10 games you bought from some guy using PayPal after playing a free demo that had some quirky or incredibly unique gameplay? How many of those have been rated?

Even given a 128MB limit, that would just mean "no voices guys, sorry" in the worst case, and "the voices sound like crap guys, sorry" in a more reasonable case. Modern voice compression can result in ridiculously small files for mere voice, and the DS doesn't have the best audio hardware to begin with so you're not

Blaster Master. A proper, clean 2D remake as a downloadable game like the Bionic Commando remake.
