It wouldn't ever be distributed in Japan, nor would there likely be any real interest. Harmony Gold doesn't have the distro rights for Macross (which Robotech *still is*) in Japan. Similarly, it likely wouldn't be welcomed because Macross is canon, and Robotech falls outside that canon entirely. The only similarity…
