I think some of the Picross e games had those controls, but otherwise yeah. the Mega Picross and uPicross gimmicks didn’t add much, and none of them ever seem hard enough.

Jupiter, the company that made Zelda Picross, has been spitting out themed Picross games. Pokemon Picross (f2p game) Final Fantasy Picross (f2p, Japan only), Sanrio/Hello Kitty Picross, and... Kemono Friends Picross (I know nothing about this, other than it’s an anime, Switch exclusive... probably Japan only?).

Now, the realization that for some reason they removed one of the default control schemes for Zelda Picross and it’s probably the most frustrating to play of any of their Picross games, not literally unplayable, just... frustrating.

I imagine they do now to be quite honest, but generally if a system doesn’t block keywords it’s because of false positives (see KBABZ’s post)

Half these concerns are legitimate, while half of them miss the point. Then they all get blended together to really only help reinforce the message from the lowest common denominator, who wants to protest inclusivity and diversity more than actually caring about the show.

The US government wheels often fall off track, or spin in place with enough grease. I wouldn’t worry too much about the US until something actually is finalized, and even then I’d expect exceptions and exemptions.
