It was probably resealed well enough that the guy behind the counter making minimum didn’t feel bothered to check. Happens all the time where I work with unsealed products being sold as sealed because someone didn’t take the extra two seconds.

Pokemon also had aggressive marketing, a cartoon you could watch for free on network television, less competition, and looser laws about what could be marketed to kids.

My old credit union had a LOT of fees. They weren’t hidden, but they were random, stacked, and designed to screw over it’s members. They’re not all winners.

As a general rule they probably wont hit you for 5 over, but they can. If they’re really being a stickler, they can, for whatever reason (e.g. quotas, school zone, bad day, racial profiling, etc), bust you for going even a mile over.
