I really like the concept of young-ish Galadriel being so grief-crazed by the death of all of her brothers in the wars with Morgoth that she throws herself into hunting Sauron, who she correctly perceives as still a threat (she is smarter than Elrond, even, and a lot more experienced)

There is absolutely a story, it’s just a matter of whether it will translate to the screen.

There is enough raw material in various Tolkien writings that the right creative minds could conceivably flesh out into interesting narratives. Whether or not this team managed to do so has yet to be seen.

It was more a choice between him shooting one kid or him shooting both. The outcome is either tragic or even more tragic, so the choice is clear, but even knowing that it’s still a hard choice to actually make.

Arnor was the northern kingdom. I’d like to see dramatization of that; there are lots of intriguing stories Gandalf and Aragon hint at, and the appendices touch on.
