From the second video in the comments it looks like the pneumatic air pressure line that goes to the roller to "lift" it broke. This dropped the roller and the wheels hit the cradle the rollers are mounted in. Since the car was well secured and the roller cradle was not fixed in the ground the wheels shot the roller

I think Fast & Furious movies are the guilty pleasure of many of us Jalops. I saw 6 last night and I'll say it's just as impractical and illogical as any of the other movies. It was great!

I know Im probably in the minority, but I quite enjoy the Fast and the Furious movies. Not as amazing films or examples of a good car movie, just popcorn fodder. Cool cars and scantily clad ladies dont hurt.

I for one applaud the attempt. It would have been pretty awesome if they had been able to pull it off. Or if they had managed to drift the car holding the rail and the other car had drifted up against it and they had done a tandem drift wall grind combo to a backside 240 split.

Our Eastern European friends are quite familiar with these rear-engined econoboxes. If you're driving a short distance with a friend or two, they're okay. If you're looking for long distance comfort or room for stuff, you won't find it here.

I nominate my '95 R-package Mazda Miata. Built as a showroom race car it came with racing suspension with extra stiff Bilstein shocks. Those were a pure nightmare on Boston roads.
