Oh yes, you raise a good point. I don't think there were any "roll bar" configuration ships in TOS at all.

They very likely looked at car pics of the mid 20th Century and kitbashed them all together then slapped a nuclear reactor like compartment at the back.

I wonder why they love German aircraft names from WW2.

This is the ME-410

I think it's a miniature version of the Miranda class light cruiser. Check out the identical rollbar.

I think this car was designed to mount a modular sensor pallet or photon torpedo launcher on top. Which, for a 20th Century internal combustion powered ground vehicle, is pretty impressive.

Is it possible to mod one of these to allow sitting? Replacement part for the crotch / thigh armor maybe. Seems a bit problematic if you had to stand all day or can't ride in a car.

It won't look "canon" but realistically... troopers can't fight battles standing up all day. No cover = dead trooper.

Yo I heard torque was great offroad. Electric torque :)

However last I rode in a Prius the suspension was shitty and it creaked and rattled like a 1980s bus. Don't know what's so good about Toyota quality these days.

Well at least it wasn't potato resolution.

Yesh!!! Go go Power Rangers! Max RPM!

FORD the river!! Hahahaha!!!

As previously commented the shooting flames is consistent with what happens when propellant (for the main gun ammo) ignites. Can refer to Gulf War footage of T-72s (same type of tank) being penetrated and cooking off.

I agree with this. There are better alternatives to take out a tank with than sending a single man to commit suicide... unless... it was already known that the tank was mission killed and incapable of fighting back.

Standby camcorder and movie star :)

You might be right, there might be circumstances in which an armored vehicle would be stationary for an extended amount of time.

But IMHO I think any track commander with any gray matter at all wouldn't just sit stationary right in the middle of a road, especially with todays RPG and ATGM technology.

Right, he could be

I definitely agree that the tank must have sustained prior damage and/or already abandoned.

If damaged and 'mobility killed' I do not think the tank crew will remain inside the vehicle and wait to be knocked out, but smartly abandon said disabled tank.

It is also obviously very unlikely that a tank crew, no matter how

No muffler, because racecar!

I thought that offroading in a normal non-raised car would be one heck of a bumpy ride and risk of underbody damage but I guess if the car can take it.... go for it lol! Fun reading your story.

That sounds like a worthy cause for a Jalopnik expedition. Especially where dear John appears to be unaware of the many SR related stories here.

If you ever do that video I'd love to see it!

That mini Enzo is really not bad. It doesn't resemble the original car too closely and thus can be appreciated as a little piece of art by itself.

Hahaha, I enjoyed reading that!!

I love the smell of napalm in the morning.

I think this is the new streamliner bodykit for decreased wind resistance. It doesn't sell well due to being too ahead of its time.
