Because that wouldn't work at all, it would give a completely different effect. See:

The effect is achieved with a vertex shader, a program that process the data from the 3D models in the rendering process. It takes the 3D model and the camera angle and adjust it to make it slanted. When zooming in for the drawing mode they just have to reduce and disable the effect.
