Not sure what the point of your question is. All the negative reactions to the segment have the same perspective, this “how dare they” kind of attitude, as if video games are somehow off limits for a good ribbing. I think it’s fun to laugh about things you enjoy.

It’s a comedy segment you doofus. It was funny, which was the point.

The most disappointing thing is this movie was a chance to fix the franchise. They were supposed to take it in a new direction. Instead they’re doing the same thing over and over. This looks exactly like parts 2-4. Nothing has changed.

Guys like him are the worst.

Not insecure. I just think you’re a pretentious douche. You didn’t predict the entire plot, so stop acting like you knew everything from the beginning. Neck beards like you are obnoxious as all hell.

Wow. You’re so edgy. You predicted everything? You must be some sort of amazing writer or something...

Last of Us is far from trite or predictable. Try again.

No one cares.

Those aren’t cliches. Those are plot points.

That sounds like terrible fan fiction. How about leaving the story to people who can actually write?

Completely irrevelant. Somehow we’ve gone from a discussion about actors getting better pay and protection in video game work to “unions are the cause of rising production costs” (something you’re unable to provide any meaningful proof of) and now “unions can be broken up, wait and see!” (which came out of nowhere).

Those jobs are still under union contracts and protection. Anything else?

Never going to happen. Nice try, though.

Cite sources. The things you’re mentioning are incremental. No one is saying they’re free.

Film costs are not up because of the unions. Where are you getting this information???

Most divisions in film production have guilds in place to protect them. It’s been like that for years. Not sure where you’re getting the “games industry learned how to screw their employees from the film industry” narrative from because that’s definitely not the case. The one place where it would apply is the VFX

Actors get royalties. They get them in every type of SAG project. Games have shifted to a cinematic presentation and want to use high profile, seasoned actors in their productions to elevate the quality of the work. If game companies want to continue using SAG actors (which they do), then they need to compensate the

If the conversation is over because you’ve finally acknowledged that you don’t know what you’re talking about, that’s fine with me.

I’m not sure what’s interesting about it. You kept posting over and over about QA, so it’s a solid guess. I don’t care either way.

Once again, your ignorance is on full display. In the movie business, actors get royalties. They get them for using their likeness. That’s how it works. Set designers, editors, grips, etc. don’t get royalties. If video games want to use top tier SAG talent, then they should pay royalties too. So your answer for a

You haven’t explained anything. And you don’t seem to get it because you keep bringing up your global union argument, even thought that has never been what I’ve been talking about. You also don’t need to spell anything out. You work in QA for company that’s not in the US.
