Agreed. It’s a simple, entertaining, and philosophically shallow series. Any social commentary found within is purely incidental. All of that is fine until people (the author included) try to start forcing depth on it to further their own purposes because the text itself doesn’t offer much in the way of support for it.

But how else am I supposed to understand modern politics if I can’t equate them with Potter characters?!?!
