What a shock that the guy that can't stop referring to circle jerks and making thinly veiled insults towards absolutely everyone that disagrees with him can't find anything worthy of respect in one of the best known, highly regarded works of fantasy literature where the author can spend pages describing the flora and

Your motivation to post is "never trollish", but "[t]hose books are drivel to be consumed by the open-mouthed masses."

Every time I see stuff like this, it reminds me of this skit:

Infuckingcredible. The degree of arrogance alone is boggling the mind.

From the logo, I assumed their mission was to summon forth the sunken city of R'lyeh so the lord of madness Cthulhu could rule the world.

When I first saw that logo I thought it was cool. Then I read that it was an NSA satellite and thought I must be reading the Onion, but somehow this is real. That is straight up mustache twirling, tie people to train tracks, cartoon-style villainy.

Your ketchup analogy makes no sense. We are talking about art. If you are a fan of the fantasy genre, then you should show some respect to the pioneers and innovators of that genre, even if you personally dislike their work. When you fail to do so it suggests an ignorance of the genre as a whole.

Additionally, the guy was literally a literature scholar, so when he wrote something, it made sense in the larger world he created. He put thought into his words to make a colorful world. In his books, people

If the Sam and Max games were bad, I don't want to play good games.

Phew, a single piece of anecdotal evidence that there is no widespread abuse of this technology. Color me relieved.

Sorry, @triggerx, but you're wrong.
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." While the quote above isn't exact, it's a reasonable facsimile.

The fact that you mention Linux tells me you have no friggin' idea what you're talking about.

And the quote in it's FULL context: "In fine, we have the most sensible Concern for the poor distressed Inhabitants of the Frontiers. We have taken every Step in our Power, consistent with the just Rights of the Freemen of Pennsylvania, for their Relief, and we have Reason to believe, that in the Midst of their

And its amazing how many of our fellow citizen are willing to give up their rights in heartbeat while at the same time telling themselves they live in free country.

History repeating itself:
