Good to hear that the original control style is still available for those who want it. Looks like this might just be able to both gain the interest of newcomers turned off by the stiffness and difficulty of the old games and please old fans who just want to play a Monster Hunter with modern graphics.

The problem with bows and light bowguns is that new players don’t learn how to properly use them. They’re not shooting in the range sweet spot with the bow, and they wonder why their kill times are way off in solo or duo. They might appear to be “cool” weapons, but they actually take some effort to properly use.

So far I have absolutely enjoyed all of the Steamworld series. From Tower defense to Dig (1) to Heist, they have been a thoroughly enjoyable series of games. I cant wait to play Dig 2 and I really hope for a sequel to Heist as well.

Everything in FMA is inherently European, especially Germany. There’s like less than 5 Asian characters throughout the whole series, and of those who do, they’re most likely Chinese instead of Japanese. Even regular reader could made that point easily without needing any confirmation from the writer.

I don’t see any reason why Square can’t remake/remaster Xenogears. They absolutely do own the license which is why Monolith Soft is making Xenosaga, Xenoblade etc., because they can’t make a new Xenoblade game.

Assuming they still have the original art assets lying around on an old hard drive, I’d be happy with an HD remastering of those, along with a new, good localization, the Disc 2 content it should have had, and a few more tracks from Yasunori Mitsuda to fill out the moments when some tracks didn’t really quite fit.

There are few things I want IN LIFE more than a full, real, Xeneogears remake. I would give up my livelihood for that shit!
