I think you grossly underestimate how many people bought a wiiu. Just because nintendo announced it was a failure (lets be fair they marketed it poorly and expected people to jump on it like the wii). The switch is the wiiu 1.5 in my book, its power did not go up much either.

Yup, I dont see how zelda got 9.5s or higher across the board for how horrible the framerate is even on the switch. Love the game but man, nintendo had the potential to be up to par with current gen; a solid 30 fps isnt asking much.
